Global Challenge's report is presented in Madrid
The international interest for climate investments is increasing.Today March 16th Neuva Economia Forum (NEF) is arranging a seminar where Allan Larsson presents Global Challenge’s initiative An International Climate Community.
Allan Larsson is introduced by Enrique Baron Crespo, former Speaker of the European Parliament, who describes the NEF as “the place to be in Madrid if you want to be heard “. The meeting has attracted large audiences and the venue is fully booked.
Strong Spanish interest
Spain has shown an increased interest in how Sweden in the early 1990s managed to introduce a CO2 tax at the height of the economic crisis. The experience of how to use a long-term climate policy that also supports a more short-term economic crisis control, naturally raises great interest in Spain.
Using climate policy as an investment out of the economic crisis can be a valuable tool for the Spanish economy. Spain of course is well placed for some of the renewable energy sources, such as solar power and opportunities to strengthen energy cooperation with North Africa.
